Flood at Work August 9, 2007

It poured at work today in Monroeville. At 7:30, when I came in, it wasn’t raining at all. About 30 minutes later, it looked like Jesus was coming back. Here’s a video my coworker shot:

You can see that the creek next to my building reached the bridge that led to the second parking lot. From what I hear, we’re supposed to be receiving a second storm in the next couple hours. Watch out!

Appalachian State University is HOT HOT HOT! August 2, 2006

This is my first attempt with using YouTube. This video is hilarious because it is so bad. Sean Carton describes it well:

Unfortunately, this is not a joke…and this is not an old video. Appalachian State University put out this video last year and it instantly became a viral hit amongst the educational community. It’s probably THE worst educational recruitment video ever and possibly one of the worst songs ever recorded. From the production values to the obsessive use of the same transition to the incredibly lame imagery used in the video, this one takes the cake on almost every level. It’s so bad that it’s destined to become a classic.

If you’re looking for a post-production film & video man, look no further. My good friend Tim posted his sample reel on this website. Clips include issues of fair trade, apple pie, and that rock star Chris Martin. Check it out!

nullAfter reading about some great video finds via Boing Boing, I decided to peruse Google Video myself. Though the resolution and sound are sub-par, there are some great moments captured on video. Some of the finds include a few songs from a Sufjan concert, a clip from Elliott Smith’s last concert, and a high schooler performing the entire Napoleon Dynamite dance.
